Coding with Arduino
Explore basic electronics and programming with Arduino micro-controllers. Each participant will receive a free Arduino starter kit, funded by UVM VASE Host Grant. Presented by Gus Serinese, 8th Grade Challenge Project. Grades 4-8. Pre-register. Two sessions (please choose one session per child). Either March 1 & 2 from 1-3 pm or March 9 from 3-5 pm and March 10 12-2 pm.
Job Opening for Student Assistant
Apply now for a student assistant position starting in March! Two more positions will begin in August.
Duties and Responsibilities include: Assisting library patrons; Shelving all library collections; Processing new library materials; Making posters and signs, arranging displays; Keeping public areas neat; Setting up for and cleaning up after programs; Opening and closing the library when on duty; Helping at the circulation desk as needed; Other duties as assigned.
Take better pictures! Our club is for anyone who is interested in photography and wants to improve or share their skills. We will explore both basic and advanced techniques and go out and take shots. Drop-In LEGO Day
Drop by and make a LEGO creation using the library LEGO collection, or bring your own! Tuesday, February 27, 10:30 am- noon. No registration required. Children must be in 3rd grade and at least 8 years of age to be in the library without an adult.
Mah Jongg @ the Library!
Have you wanted to learn how to play, revisit the game or just love the game of Mah Jongg? We are offering bimonthly sessions of this tile-based game on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Come alone or bring a friend and play with members of the community. All experience levels are welcome. Wednesday, February 28 from 1-3:30 pm.
