Library Giving Tree
The giving tree program will end this year on January 31st. Consider supporting the Library this holiday season. Sponsor a favorite program or purchase a book or DVD in someone’s honor. The Giving Tree display is available in our vestibule when the Library is open. Simply take a tag, fill it out and return it to the Library Book Drop. Payments may be made online here or included with your tag.
Books Like Us

From January 1st to January 31st, the Library will participate in Beanstack’s Fourth Annual Winter Reading Challenge, “Books Like Us,” sponsored by Simon and Schuster. Preregister on our Beanstack site to participate. Open to Williston and St. George residents. No Library card is needed to participate, but ask us if you'd like one!
Online Guided Meditation
Fridays, January 22 and 29, 12-12:30pm. Take a break from your day to reconnect to your peaceful body and breath. Join us for a short guided meditation session via Zoom. Brown Bag Book Discussion Online
Tuesday, January 26, 12:30-1:30pm. Join us for a discussion of Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. Pachinko follows one Korean family through the generations, beginning in early 1900s Korea with Sunja, the prized daughter of a poor yet proud family, whose unplanned pregnancy threatens to shame them all. Deserted by her lover, Sunja is saved when a young tubercular minister offers to marry and bring her to Japan. Books are available from the library. January Adult Craft Kits To-Go
Book Arts Series: Winter Challenge: 1,000 Paper Cranes
January 2-February 27. Join us for a three-part crafting series on book and paper arts. Recycle your old magazines by transforming them into art! Watch here for a video of how to make a crane, and pick up a bag with instructions at the library by ringing our doorbell during library hours (Mon-Fri 10-6, Sat 10-3). Drop off completed cranes by leaving them in the bag on our porch.
Virtual Poetry Reading
Wednesday, January 27, 6:30-8:00pm. Join us for a Virtual Poetry Reading on featuring well-known local poets Geof Hewitt, Tricia Knoll and Joanne Mellin. The reading will be followed by a poetry open mic that’s open to the local community. Please sign up here by Tuesday, January 26th . Slots for reading are now full but please sign up to attend so that we can send you the zoom link. Each poet will be given five minutes to read.
After-School Program in a Bag: Snow Globe
Available starting January 19. Make a unique snow globe using a clear plate, glitter snowflakes, glue, and your own amazing creativity! Just pick up a kit from the library vestibule, while supplies last.
